Conrad Kunadu is a DPhil Candidate in International Relations at Balliol College, University of Oxford. He is supervised by Ranjit Lall and currently affiliated with the Alva Myrdal Centre for Nuclear Disarmament at Uppsala University as a Specialist Fellow. His primary research interest lies at the intersection of emerging technologies and national/international security, with a focus on biotechnologies, bioweapons, nuclear weapons, and AI.

Research Focus: His work explores how emerging technologies shape their own governance, particularly biotechnological development's implications for bioweapons regulation. He also investigates nuclear weapons governance, AI's role in security, international cooperation frameworks, and biosecurity measures for pandemic preparedness.
Recent Publications: In 2025, he co-authored a policy analysis on dual-use research governance in the life sciences, comparing U.S. and Canadian approaches.
