Dr. Conor Crummey is an Assistant Professor in Law at Maynooth University's School of Law and Criminology since 2022. He holds a doctorate from University College London Faculty of Laws. His research bridges legal philosophy and public law theory, focusing on interpretivist jurisprudence and statutory interpretation in UK public law. He has published in Legal Theory, Modern Law Review, and Public Law, and authored a monograph with Oxford University Press titled *The Principle of Legality: A Moral Theory* (2025).
He previously taught at the University of Glasgow and Queen Mary University of London. As co-convenor of the Irish Jurisprudence Society, he engages in academic leadership. Teaching focuses on Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, and Legal Philosophy modules. Research examines moral obligations' role in legal systems and normative foundations of public law doctrines like procedural fairness.
