Conny Kazungu serves as a Lecturer and Faculty Advisor for the Environmental Science & Policy Program at the University of Maryland, teaching courses in International Relations & National Security, Environmental Policy & Politics, and Public Policy from her office in Tydings Hall.

Her research bridges environmental governance and global security, with concentrated expertise in Sub-Saharan African terrorism dynamics, U.S. counterterrorism frameworks, and cross-regional conflict analysis spanning Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
