Colleen Wahl is an Associate Professor of Dance in the School of Performing Arts at Alfred University. She specializes in Somatic Education and Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies, focusing on body-based creativity and its applications to dance technique, rock climbing, boxing, and spatial patterning. She is the director of Integrated Movement Studies and author of two editions of Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies: Contemporary Applications.

Wahl’s research applies Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies to understand how movement shapes human creativity and meaning. Her work bridges somatic practices with sports training, dance pedag0gy, and interdisciplinary applications in natural and artistic contexts. Recent trends in her publications highlight the intersection of movement analysis, embodied learning, and somatic workshops for creative energy.
