Colleen Taylor is Assistant Professor of English and Irish Studies at Boston College. Her research examines Irish literature through material ecologies and environmental humanities, with expertise in 18th-century cultural production.
Her monograph 'Irish Materialisms' analyzes nonhuman agency in colonial Ireland. Publications appear in Eighteenth-Century Fiction and Tulsa Studies in Women’s Literature, often focusing on material culture like the Irish mantle.
Fellowships include awards from the National Endowment for the Humanities and Irish Research Council. Current projects investigate Ireland's oceanic imagination in decolonial contexts.
