Colleen Robichaux

Colleen Robichaux is a Hedrick Adjunct Assistant Professor and NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA's Department of Mathematics. Previously, she was a UCLA Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellow (2023–2024) and earned her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under Alexander Yong. Her research focuses on algebraic combinatorics and Schubert calculus, with emphasis on computational aspects and geometric interpretations.

Research Interests: She explores Schubert coefficients, Grothendieck polynomials, and Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity in algebraic varieties. Her work bridges combinatorial structures with geometric properties, often involving complexity-theoretic analysis. Recent projects include signed puzzles for Schubert coefficients and algorithmic decision problems in algebraic geometry.

Teaching & Mentoring: Has instructed courses at UCLA (MATH 206A, 184, 180) and UIUC. Actively mentors women in mathematics through UCLA's Women in Math program and coordinates outreach activities through the UCLA Curtis Center and Math Circle.

Outreach Leadership: Former Outreach Manager at Illinois Mathematics Lab (IML), founded its undergraduate outreach branch, and organized K-12 math engagement programs including Science at the Market, Julia Robinson Day, and First Lego League robotics activities.
