معرفی
Dr. Jenna Rajchgot is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McMaster University, where she has been employed since 2020. Previously, she held positions as an Assistant Professor at the University of Saskatchewan, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan, and a Research Member at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) in California.
Education includes:
- Ph.D. in Mathematics from Cornell University (2013)
- M.S. in Mathematics from Cornell University (2010)
- B.Sc.H in Mathematics and Statistics from Queen's University (2007)
Her research focuses on pure mathematics, particularly the intersection of algebraic geometry, commutative algebra, and combinatorics. She investigates algebro-geometric and combinatorial properties of algebraic varieties with large symmetry groups, developing novel techniques for their analysis. Key themes include Schubert varieties, geometric decompositions, combinatorial formulas, and invariants of algebraic structures.
Recent publications (2015-2024) demonstrate strong emphasis on combinatorial algebraic geometry, with recurring exploration of Gröbner bases, vertex decompositions, liaison theory, quiver varieties, and Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity. Her work consistently bridges abstract algebra with combinatorial structures across diverse mathematical contexts.
Dr. Rajchgot leads the Combinatorial Algebraic Geometry research group at McMaster, comprising three faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students (group link). This collaborative team investigates problems spanning algebraic combinatorics and geometric methods.
