Dr. Colleen Malachowski is an Associate Professor in the Communications Department at Regis College, affiliated with the Sloane School of Business and Communication. She also serves as the Carole Remick Endowed Program Director, overseeing the New England High School Journalism Collaborative. Her academic journey includes teaching roles at Florida International University, West Virginia University, and Regis College, where she has instructed courses like interpersonal communication, organizational communication, and gender studies.
Dr. Malachowski’s research focuses on communication in romantic relationships, strategies to reduce anxiety in sensitive conversations, and classroom dynamics. She has published extensively in journals such as Western Journal of Communication and Communication Education.
Her awards include recognition from the Eastern Communication Association and the National Communication Association for impactful research. Beyond academia, she actively promotes journalism education through her program director role, emphasizing diverse media representation.
