Colleen Clements

Colleen Clements is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Her work explores the intersection of social class and identity, with a focus on humanizing pedagogies, critical arts-based qualitative methodologies, and sociological perspectives on education.

Her research examines how historical narratives and discourses shape contemporary educational and community contexts, particularly through critical pedagogy and arts-based inquiry. Recent publications highlight themes such as white supremacy in education, post-qualitative inquiry, and social class-sensitive pedagogy.

She has presented at major conferences including the Cultural Studies Association Conference, American Educational Research Association (AERA), and National Women’s Studies Association (NWSA). Her work is affiliated with organizations like the International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry (ICQI) and Performance Studies International (PSI).
