Colin Orians is a Professor in both the Department of Biology and the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy & Planning at Tufts University's School of Arts and Sciences. He holds a PhD in Entomology from Pennsylvania State University (1990) and a BA in Biology from Earlham College (1984). His research focuses on global change biology, with emphasis on climate change impacts, invasive species, and sustainable ecosystems. He has conducted studies on coffee agroecosystems, tea responses to climate, invasive species effects on hemlock forests, and urban green roofs.
