Colin D Bicknell

Professor Colin D Bicknell is the Course Director for the Health Policy MSc at Imperial College London's Department of Surgery and Cancer, within the Faculty of Medicine. He holds dual roles as a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Consultant Vascular Surgeon, and serves as Head of Specialty for Vascular Surgery at the Imperial Vascular Unit. Trained at Southampton Medical School and Imperial College, he earned both Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees. His academic leadership includes roles as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, board member of the Royal Society of Medicine's Section of Surgery Council, and former Chair of the British Society of Endovascular Therapy Annual Conference Committee (2013–2017).

His teaching focuses on nurturing research skills in students, emphasizing critical appraisal, research design, and evidence-based policy analysis.
