Clémence Fraslin

Clémence Fraslin is a Core Scientist and Research Fellow at The Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh, within the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. She leads quantitative genetics research in the Robledo Group under the Division of Translational Bioscience, focusing on genomic solutions for sustainable aquaculture.

Her work bridges fundamental genomics and commercial aquaculture through projects like the EU-funded AquaIMPACT (genomic selection for columnaris resistance) and BBSRC-funded GenoLice (salmon sealice resistance). She prioritizes industry collaboration, working directly with French and Finnish breeding programs to ensure research addresses real-world production challenges.
