Professor Clive Roberts serves as the Executive Dean (Science) at Durham University, overseeing strategic development, financial performance, research, and teaching excellence within the Faculty of Science. His leadership includes fostering international growth, partnerships, and facilities development.
Education:
- BEng in Electronics from the University of Wales, Cardiff
- PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham
Research Interests:
- Interdisciplinary work in sensing and data analysis
- Complex system simulation and control systems
- Energy sustainability, risk/safety assessment
- AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, and systems engineering
Previously, he founded and led the UK Railway Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN) and held leadership roles at the University of Birmingham, including Director of the Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE) and Head of the School of Engineering.
