Clementine Collett is a BRAID Fellow at the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy, where she serves as Principal Investigator on the project ‘Co-designing responsible technology and policy for the impact of generative AI on the writing and publishing of the novel.’ She is affiliated with the Institute for the Future of Work and Cambridge Digital Humanities at the University of Cambridge.
- Doctorate in AI ethics and gender bias from the University of Oxford (2020–2024)
- Focus on participatory methods in AI policy design
- Collaborates with novelists, publishers, policymakers, and tech companies
Her research examines AI’s impact on labor markets and equality, particularly in:
- Generative AI in creative industries
- Algorithmic bias in recruitment technologies
- Policy frameworks for ethical AI deployment
She has authored reports for UNESCO, IADB, OECD, and the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence. Current collaborations include:
- Cambridge Digital Humanities (affiliated researcher)
- CRASSH (Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities)
