Professor Clement Marumoagae is a Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand's School of Law, specializing in Pension Law, Family Law, Insolvency Law, Procedural Law, Competition Law, and Labour Law. He holds qualifications including LLB, LLM, PhD from the University of Cape Town, and is a practicing attorney. He lectures at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has held roles such as former Councillor of the Legal Practice Council and inaugural Chair of its Education Committee. Currently, he serves as an academic member of the Judicial Service Commission and advises the South African Law Reform Commission on marriage law reforms (Project 144). His research focuses on eradicating barriers to legal profession entry and improving retirement fund governance. Notable roles include membership of the Companies Tribunal (2023–2028) and acting as a High Court Judge.
