Claudia Valenti

Claudia Valenti is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Printmaking at Montserrat College of Art and serves as the Student Academic Advisor, overseeing incoming students and the Academic Advising section of The Advising Office. Her work bridges art education and practice, specializing in multidisciplinary approaches that explore memory, trauma, and identity through folkloric imagery and magical realism.

Her artistic practice encompasses painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramic sculpture, and book works. Valenti’s research and exhibitions have been supported by grants and residencies, including the San Juan Preservation Trust fellowship and a recent residency in Japan. She teaches a broad range of disciplines, including curatorial studies and narrative image-making, reflecting her commitment to interdisciplinary education.

Valenti’s advising role emphasizes academic guidance, while her creative work has been featured in venues like Trestle Gallery (New York), Amos Eno Gallery, and international exhibitions in Italy and the U.S.
