Dr Claudia Rossignoli is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the University of St Andrews' School of Modern Languages, serving as Director of Teaching. Her research focuses on early modern culture, with specializations in Renaissance commentaries, Reformation studies, and digital transmediation of medieval texts. She has held prestigious fellowships at institutions including the Herzog August Bibliothek (HAB) in Wolfenbüttel and the Polish Institute of Advanced Studies (PIASt).
Her teaching spans Dantean studies, Italian Renaissance literature, and the Risorgimento era, emphasizing gender theory and transcultural exchange. She supervises PhD students in Italian Studies and Comparative Literature and actively contributes to editorial roles for Dante Studies and the Society for Italian Studies.
