Paola Nasti is an Associate Professor of Italian and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Italian at Northwestern University’s Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences. Her research focuses on medieval Italian literature, religious culture, and textual/intellectual history, with a specialization in Dante studies. She holds a PhD in Italian Studies from the University of Reading (UK) and has taught at the Universities of Manchester, Reading, and Oxford as a visiting lecturer.

Her research explores biblical intertextuality in Dante’s works, medieval manuscript traditions, and the reception of theological texts. She co-edited Interpreting Dante (2013), fostering global scholarly dialogue on Dantean commentary. Teaching highlights include courses on medieval/Renaissance culture, contemporary Italian cinema, and supervision of dissertations on topics like biblical translations and medieval poetry.
