Claudia McKenley is a Postgraduate Associate in the Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry, affiliated with the Racial Equity and Addiction Lab (REAL) and the Program for Recovery and Community Health (PRCH). Her research focuses on culturally sensitive faith-based interventions for substance use disorders in Black and Latine populations and addressing health equity in alcohol research. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University, with a Sociology minor.
Research Interests: Her work emphasizes racial disparities in healthcare, addiction recovery strategies for marginalized groups, and community engagement in mental health. She actively contributes to projects designing equitable substance use treatments and stress-response mechanisms among minority populations.
