Claudia Kropf serves as an Adjunct Professor for the University of Southern California's Online MS in Human Resource Management program, teaching HRM 555: "Anticipating the Future of HR" and specializing in employee relations.
With a career that began in accounting for the South Carolina state government and major corporations including Scott Paper, Fidelity Investments, and State Street Bank, she successfully transitioned to human resources where she held leadership positions across manufacturing, hospitality, high-tech, and professional services sectors. Her executive roles included Deputy Administrator for Florence County (overseeing HR, facilities, procurement, IT, finance, and grants), Director of Human Resources for Florence County, Vice President of Human Resources for the National Automobile Dealers Association, and Vice President of Marketing for the Human Resource Association of the National Capital Area.
Professor Kropf's research interests center on practical human resource applications, emphasizing that "HR is not an exact science" but rather "as varied as there are people." She focuses on mentoring, organizational design, and leadership development, teaching students to balance business needs with employee concerns through careful consideration of all factors.
