Claudia Goldin is the Henry Lee Professor of Economics at Harvard University and a leading economic historian and labor economist. She was the first woman to receive a tenured professorship in Harvard's Economics Department (1990) and served as director of the National Bureau of Economic Research's Program on the Development of the American Economy from 1989 to 2017. Her research focuses on labor markets, economic gender gaps, income inequality, technological change, and education, often interpreting contemporary issues through historical analysis.
