Claude Raisaro is an Assistant Professor of Development Microeconomics at the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID), affiliated with the Department of International Economics, the Centre for Finance and Development, and the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets at Stockholm School of Economics. His research bridges development and behavioral economics, focusing on social norms' impact on market dynamics and organizations. He employs field experiments and observational data in contexts like Uganda and Peru.
His education includes a PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich. Research interests include labor markets, gender discrimination, educational equity, and agricultural economics. Recent projects examine gender bias in hiring, preschool policy effects in Peru, and fair trade dynamics in vanilla farming. Though no explicit awards are noted, his work addresses critical global challenges in development and inequality.
