Dr. Clarissa Glaser is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Hydrology at the Institute for Geography, University of Bonn, Germany. Clarissa Glaser’s research focuses on understanding hydrological processes in headwater streams, particularly how water exchange between groundwater and surface water affects water quality, biogeochemical cycling, and ecosystem health. Her work integrates field measurements, tracer hydrology, and modeling to study solute transport, hyporheic exchange, and the impacts of climate change on streamflow intermittency. She is particularly interested in ecohydrological separation and the critical zone dynamics.

Her recent publications span topics such as tracer bias in stream experiments, hyporheic exchange variability, contaminant transport during storms, and greenhouse gas emissions from streams.
