Dr Clare Tyrer is a Senior Lecturer in Educational Development at City St George's, University of London. She has extensive experience in teacher education across the UK and international settings, currently teaching on the MA in Academic Practice (MAAP) program and leading modules in learning, teaching, assessment, and feedback.

Dr Tyrer’s recent publications emphasize mentoring practices in post-compulsory teacher education, multimodal feedback mechanisms, and democratic evaluation of educational programs. Her work highlights tensions between prescribed mentoring frameworks and practical implementations.
