Clare O’Shaughnessy is a Lecturer in Criminal Justice and Management at Norwich University’s College of Professional Schools. She holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from Vermont Law School (1998) and combines academic instruction with legal expertise. Her professional background includes military service as a retired U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate, with deployments spanning roles in defense counsel, appellate advocacy, and international operations in Germany and Afghanistan (2013).

Military and Legal Career: Enlisted in 1991, she served 8 years in Active, Reserve, and National Guard units, initially as an Interrogator with Czech language expertise and later as a Judge Advocate. Her legal experience spans public defense, family law, personal injury litigation, and appellate work.
