Clare Jones is a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at the Faculty of Arts, Society and Professional Studies, Birmingham Newman University since January 2024. She holds a part-time secondment role at Oxford Brookes University and has leadership experience at RDAC, a registered charity. Her professional memberships include the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
Education:
- MSc (pre-reg.) Occupational Therapy (University of East Anglia, 2010)
- BA (Hons) Education (Cardiff University, 2004)
- Post-graduate Diploma in Psychology with BPS Recognition (The Open University, 2006)
Research Interests: Clare focuses on ergonomics, environmental adaptations for disability (e.g., vehicle/housing design), therapeutic interpersonal skills, and cognitive/vision impairments related to stroke, traumatic brain injury, and dementia.
Teaching & Leadership: Module leader for Cognition and Vision at Oxford Brookes, developed regional paediatric programmes at RDAC, and is pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice (starting Sept 2024).
