Clara Rigoni

Dr. Clara Rigoni is an Assistant Professor (Maître Assistante) at the Faculty of Law, Criminal Justice and Public Administration, University of Lausanne, Switzerland. She maintains concurrent affiliations as a Research Affiliate at the Max Planck Institute for Crime, Security and Law (Germany) and a Visiting Professor at the University of Trento (Italy). In Fall 2023, she served as the W&L/GLJ Global Teaching Fellow at Washington and Lee University School of Law, co-teaching comparative German law seminars.

Her educational background includes:

Rigoni's research explores legal pluralism and social integration, with emphases on honour-based violence, forced marriages, and restorative justice. She investigates cultural diversity in legal systems and advocates for inclusive judicial practices across Europe.

Her 2023 book synthesizes fieldwork on restorative interventions for gender-based violence in migrant communities, reflecting her cross-jurisdictional analytical approach. Publications span English, Italian, and German academic venues.

She chairs initiatives promoting equity in legal institutions:
