Clara Gutsche is a Part-Time Lecturer in Photography at the Studio Arts department of Concordia University. Since immigrating to Canada from the United States in 1970, she has worked as a photographer, educator, and art critic, using large-format photography to explore interpersonal relationships, cultural values, and the symbolic dimensions of interior architecture.

Her work has been exhibited in solo shows across Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, and Edmonton, as well as international venues in Italy, France, and Portugal. She currently participates in projects sponsored by CUPFA Professional Development.
