Clara Crivellaro is a Reader in Digital Social Justice at the School of Computing’s Open Lab, Newcastle University. Her research focuses on designing technologies that advance equity and democratic practices in digital societies, bridging Human-Computer Interaction, Participatory Design, and Responsible Research and Innovation.

Recent publications analyze the blurring of trust boundaries in digital systems, emphasizing systemic stress and capability gaps among vulnerable populations. Her accolades include ACM best paper awards and honourable mentions.
