Claire O’Malley is a Researcher at Teesside University’s SHLS Allied Health Professions Centre for Public Health. She holds a PhD from Durham University titled 'Determinants of fruit and vegetable consumption in pre-school children'. Her work focuses on public health, obesogenic environments, health policy, and mental health, using mixed methods to improve health outcomes. She is also an MBACP-registered Counsellor practising part-time.

- Period Poverty Research: Advocated menstrual support within academic institutions.
