Claire Joubert

Claire Joubert is a University Professor of English Literature at Université Paris 8 Vincennes Saint-Denis. She holds a permanent full-time position in the Department of English Literary Studies and is affiliated with the TransCrit research unit (EA 1569). Her research focuses on the 'poetics of the foreign,' exploring cultural, epistemological, and political dimensions of linguistic and cultural diversity. She actively supervises doctoral students and teaches advanced courses in comparative literature, postcolonial studies, and digital humanities.

Her teaching includes critical theory workshops and seminars on postcolonial literature, modernist texts, and digital humanities. She coordinates interdisciplinary research initiatives such as the 'Imagining Communities' seminar and the 'Critical Theory Workshop.'
