Claire Harkins

Claire Harkins is a Lecturer and researcher at the University West of Scotland, specializing in alcohol and drug studies. She completed her PhD at the University of Bath, focusing on alcohol industry influence on public health policy across international, European, UK, and Scottish governance levels. Currently, she works on the ALICERAP project's Business of Addiction work package, analyzing stakeholder dynamics in addiction-related corporate activities.

Her research interests center on the intersection of corporate actors, public health policy, and addiction control. She examines how governance structures and stakeholder interactions shape alcohol and drug policies, with a particular emphasis on corporate responsibility and regulatory frameworks.
