Cinzia Albanesi is a Full Professor in Social and Community Psychology at the Department of Psychology 'Renzo Canestrari', University of Bologna. She holds leadership roles, including Head of the Community Psychology Lab since 2014, and has served as Past President of the European Association of Community Psychology (ECPA). Her academic journey includes roles as Associate Professor (2014–2021) and Assistant Professor (2005–2021), with a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Bologna (2001) and a Master's in Psychology (1996).
Her research focuses on health promotion, LGBTQIA+ rights, civic engagement, participatory methods, and community-university partnerships. Notable projects include leading the CATCH-EyoU initiative (2015–2018) and coordinating the Master's program in School and Community Psychology (2018–2024). She is actively involved in service-learning initiatives, emphasizing social justice and equity.
Her work spans community development, youth participation, and policy impact, with contributions to global projects like Rural 3.0 and UNICORN.
