Cindy Smith is a Senior Lecturer at Curtin University's School of Education within the Faculty of Humanities. She holds a PhD in Special Education from the University of Missouri and has extensive experience in special education, behavioral therapy, and mentoring programs. Her work spans institutions in Australia, the U.S., and the Middle East, focusing on program development for special education teachers.

- BA in History, Columbia College, 2002-2005
Research Interests: Mentorship interventions for at-risk youth, autism spectrum disorder, teacher development, women's studies, inclusive education, and behavioral therapy. She has developed gender-specific mentoring programs and explored LGBTQI+ inclusive practices in teacher training.
