Cindy Morton-Rose

Cindy Morton-Rose is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education and Coordinator of the Literacy Program at Meredith College. Her research focuses on urban education challenges, culturally relevant pedagogy, and literacy policy. She holds a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A.T. in Elementary Education, and a Ph.D. in Language and Literacy, all from the University of South Carolina. Prior to academia, she worked as a unit director at a Boys’ and Girls’ Club and taught 4th grade in South Florida’s diverse classrooms. Her professional credentials include K-6 teaching licensure.
