Ciara Mc Nally is a Clinical Teacher in Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Bradford's School of Allied Health Professionals. She holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Leeds (2007–2016) and later transitioned to healthcare, completing a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Bradford in 2016. Her research focuses on medical technologies and radiation safety, notably through the CoRIPS Research Grant, which explored dose reduction in anti-scatter processing algorithms.
Mc Nally has dual roles in clinical practice and academia. She works at Calderdale Huddersfield NHS Trust as a Clinical Supervisor, supporting undergraduate radiography students, and integrates clinical practice with theoretical education at the University of Bradford. Her career spans postgraduate research, Allied Health Professional roles, and a dedicated focus on advancing radiography techniques and patient safety.
- Awards: College of Radiographers Industry Partnership (CoRIPS) Research Grant (2016).
- Advising/Grants: Supervised practice-based learning for undergraduates; led research on radiation dose optimization.
Mc Nally’s work bridges clinical innovation and academic teaching, emphasizing evidence-based practices in diagnostic radiography.
