Chunxia Zhao

Professor Chunxia Zhao is a faculty member at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Adelaide, and Deputy Director of the ARC Centre for Excellence for Enabling Eco-Efficient Beneficiation of Minerals (COEMinerals). Her research focuses on bioinspired engineering, biomimetic nanomaterials, and microfluidics for drug delivery and controlled release.

• Education: PhD from Zhejiang University.

Her research has attracted over $55M in funding, including grants from ARC, NHMRC, MRFF, and CRC-P. She has led projects such as the ARC Centre of Excellence ($35M) and seven ARC/NHMRC projects as lead CI. Her work bridges nanotechnology and biomedical applications, with collaborations at Harvard, Brown, and other top institutions.

Scientific awards and fellowships include:
