Chunming Zhang is a Professor of Statistics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, affiliated with the Department of Statistics within the School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences. He holds academic leadership roles and has been a faculty member since 2000. His research focuses on statistical learning theory and applications in neuroinformatics, bioinformatics, financial econometrics, and imaging data analysis. Key areas include high-dimensional inference, robust statistics, and functional data analysis.
