Professor Wenyang Zhang is a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at the University of York. His research focuses on advanced statistical methodologies, including High-Dimensional/Big Data Analysis, Financial Data Analysis, Nonparametric Statistics, and Structural Equation Models. He actively supervises PhD students in these areas and contributes to editorial roles in prominent journals.
His recent publications emphasize econometric modeling, dynamic covariance structures, and computational efficiency in high-dimensional settings. He has served on editorial boards for The Annals of Statistics and Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, reflecting his leadership in statistical research.
Professor Zhang currently advises three PhD students: Jingkai Hong, Peiyun Hu, and Junxuan Jiang. His work spans collaborations in financial econometrics and spatial data analysis, with a focus on advancing theoretical and applied statistical techniques.
