Chuanming Liu

Chuanming Liu is a Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow at the Jackson School of Geosciences and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Texas Institute for Geophysics (UTIG). He specializes in seismic imaging and inversion techniques to study Earth's subsurface dynamics, particularly focusing on seismic anisotropy and its connections to tectonic processes. His work integrates global seismic datasets and novel imaging tools to construct 3D models of regions like Alaska, the Aleutian subduction zone, and the Juan de Fuca-Gorda plates, revealing insights into tectonic mechanisms.
