Christy Schuetze is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at Swarthmore University's Department of Sociology & Anthropology, with affiliations to the Lang Center, Black Studies, and Gender & Sexuality Center. Her research centers on rural women's religious participation in Mozambique, examining intersections between social healing, Pentecostalism, and spirit mediumship.
