Christos Kourtelis

Christos Kourtelis is an Assistant Professor in European Public Policy at Panteion University's Department of International, European and Area Studies. Previously, he taught European Studies and International Relations at institutions including King’s College London, Birkbeck College London, University of Westminster, Loughborough University, Maastricht University, and Antalya Bilim University. He has also served as a visiting lecturer at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the College of Europe’s European Neighbourhood Policy Chair.

• Research Focus: European Neighbourhood Policy, EU external relations, Euro-Mediterranean relations, and EU development assistance.
• Publications: His work appears in journals such as JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of European Integration, and Mediterranean Politics. He authored the monograph The Political Economy of Euro-Mediterranean Relations (Palgrave McMillan).
• International Experience: Taught across the UK, Netherlands, Turkey, and USA, with a focus on EU policy frameworks.
