Dicle Korkmaz is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Politics and International Relations at Antalya Bilim University, with a focus on energy security and EU-Turkey relations. Her academic journey includes a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Tampere (2016), two master’s degrees (London School of Economics: European Studies, 2002; Ankara University: EC-International Relations, 2007), and her undergraduate degree from Ankara University Faculty of Political Science (1997).

Her research spans energy security, natural gas markets, climate change, Turkey-European Union relations, and EU integration. Her publications examine gas market regulations, energy diplomacy, and EU-Turkey energy interdependencies, often applying theoretical frameworks like the English School of International Relations. She has participated in research projects funded by the Academy of Finland, EU Horizon 2020, and Stiftung Mercator, and has held visiting positions at George Washington University and Oxford Institute for Energy Studies. Prior to academia, she worked at the Turkish Competition Authority and Turkish National Agency, bringing practical policy experience to her research.
