معرفی
Christos Delidakis is a Professor at the Department of Biology, University of Crete, and a Collaborating Researcher at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMBB), Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH). He has been a faculty member since 1992 and held his current position since 2008.
- B.A. (1981) in Biochemistry, University of Cambridge
- Ph.D. (1988) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Harvard University
Research Interests: Focused on molecular mechanisms of cell fate adoption during development using Drosophila as a model organism. Key areas include:
- Role of ubiquitinylation and endocytosis in intercellular signaling
- Mechanisms of bHLH transcriptional regulators in neural fate determination
- Impact of Notch signaling on neural precursor development
Scientific Contributions: His work has elucidated Notch signaling dynamics, coactivator interactions in neurogenesis, and regulatory pathways in developmental biology through Drosophila studies.
