Stephen Crews

Stephen Crews is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with an affiliation as Professor of Biochemistry & Biophysics. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms governing Drosophila central nervous system (CNS) development, including neuron and glia differentiation, transcriptional regulation during neurogenesis, and the application of genomic technologies to study CNS subpopulations. Key topics include midline cell lineage specification, enhancer diversity, and transcription factor interactions.
