Christopher Wooster is a research-active academic within the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences at Queen's University Belfast. Over the past four years he has co-authored high-impact studies on DNA-methylation biomarkers for diabetic kidney disease, appearing in Nature Communications and Clinical Epigenetics, among other venues.
His research focuses on epigenomic profiling of large clinical cohorts to uncover methylation signatures that predict or mediate diabetic nephropathy. Core techniques include genome-wide methylation arrays, meta-analysis across international consortia (GENIE, UK-ROI), and integrative genomics to translate findings into clinical biomarkers.
