Christopher Tome is a Lecturer in Educational Leadership at the School of Education, Charles Sturt University. With over 30 years of experience in the New South Wales public school system as a teacher, deputy principal, and principal, he brings practical expertise to his academic role. He has also worked internationally in the UK, Mexico, and Chile.

His research focuses on aligning educational leadership programs with practical leadership skill development for diverse educational settings, teacher professional biographies, and innovation in pedagogy. He also investigates the neoliberal education model in Chile and its policy implications.
Recent Research Themes include technological innovation in education (TPACK framework), pedagogical adaptation to diverse student needs, and systemic education reform in Latin America. His 2015 article on Chilean education policy and 2011 thesis on experienced teachers' adaptation to technology highlight these interests.
Professional Contributions include rewriting and updating the entire Educational Leadership program curriculum at Charles Sturt University since 2014. He actively participates in education policy discussions, particularly regarding democratic governance and social justice in education systems.
