Dr. Christopher Rettedal Fardan is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Research on Extremism (C-REX) at the University of Oslo. His work focuses on right-wing extremism, nationalism, and social movements. He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Manchester (2023), an MSc in Political Sociology from the London School of Economics (2018), and a BSocSc in Sociology from the University of Manchester (2017).

Key Contributions: His doctoral thesis, Extreme Nationalism in Contemporary Norway, won the 2024 Doctoral Thesis Prize from the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence. He has also published in academic journals and media outlets, addressing transphobia, terrorism, and systemic racism in Norway.
