Dr. Tore Bjørgo is a Professor at the University of Oslo and Director of the Center for Research on Extremism (C-REX), with Adjunct Professorships at the Norwegian Police University College (PHS) and former affiliations at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) and Leiden University. His work spans violent extremism, right-wing terrorism, deradicalisation, and police science.

He has served as an expert advisor to municipalities, police, NGOs, EU/UN agencies, and national governments. His initiatives, like Project Exit, have shaped deradicalisation programs across Sweden, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, and Switzerland.
