Christopher Nazelli is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Mathematics and the Center for Excellence and Equity in Mathematics at Wayne State University (WSU), effective August 2025. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction - Mathematics Education (WSU, 2021), M.A. in Mathematics (WSU, 1996), and B.A. in Mathematics (WSU, 1994). Nazelli specializes in mathematics education, teacher preparation, and lesson study, emphasizing equitable instructional practices and educator professional growth. He has received numerous teaching awards, including induction into the WSU Academy of Teachers (2021) and multiple grants supporting his work.
